This is a 4 1/4" square tile with a gala apple that is framed and grouted. I used cobalt blue on either side, small square black and gray tiles next to that, the checkerboard pieces at top and bottom and black square 1" tiles at the corners. This piece measures 8 1/4" x 8 1/2" and is 1" thick overall. It is backed by a beveled piece of wood with slotted hole for hanging. The apple was painted and fired on the tile before framing.
